Terms and privacy

What we ask for to place a kitten, and what happens to your data when you fill in the form. Read it before writing to us: if something doesn't work for you, it's better to know from the start.

Adoption conditions

Prices

Neutered male

USD 1,500

Spayed female

USD 1,300

Polydactyl

+ USD 100

Intact

Only for registered catteries, price on request

Delivery

The kittens go to their new homes at four months, with all of this:

  • Neutered
  • Vaccinated
  • Microchipped
  • Dewormed
  • With pedigree

Why neutered?

Because in Uruguay, neutering dogs and cats is mandatory.

It is set by Decree 57/023, which regulates Law 19.889: all dogs and cats in the country must be neutered and identified with a microchip. The exception is for registered catteries, which is why an intact kitten can only go to another cattery.

Reservation

To reserve a kitten we ask for a 50% deposit, with a reservation contract. There is no reservation without a deposit: until there is one, the kitten remains available.

  • If you change your mind, you lose the deposit

The deposit is not refunded if you decide not to take the kitten.

  • If something happens to the kitten, you don't lose it

If the kitten you reserved dies before delivery, we refund the deposit or you can choose another of the available kittens.

Where they will live

Our cats live indoors only. The home must have safety netting, screens or walls higher than 3 meters (10 ft).

Why?

“We don't want to see our babies dead from an accident with cars, loose dogs, theft or deadly viral diseases.”

Health

  • All our breeding cats are N/N for HCM and negative for PKD and PK‑Def

N/N means the cat has no copy of the HCM mutation.

  • FIP, FIV and FeLV tests, if you want them

They can be done, at extra cost.

Your data and the form

When you join the waiting list or ask about a kitten, you leave us some details. This is what we do with them.

The checkbox and the notice

The form has a single checkbox, and it is required.

Required

Without it the form can't be sent. It means you read this page and let us store your data to reply to you.

Joining the waiting list means asking us to notify you. When a litter that fits is born, we email you. If you only ask about a kitten, we don't add you to the list: we reply and nothing else.

What we keep

Who you are

Your name and email. Your WhatsApp and country, if you give them.

What you're looking for

Male or female, whether you want a polydactyl, and the color you chose.

What you tell us

Whatever you write about yourself and your home.

Your consent

The date and time you ticked the box, from which connection, and the exact text you accepted.

What for

To reply to you and see whether we have a kitten for you. If you joined the waiting list, also to let you know when there is a litter.

Nothing else. We don't sell them, we don't pass them on to anyone and we don't send you advertising.

No cookies or analytics

This site uses no analytics tools or tracking cookies. We don't know who visits it or from where, and that's why we don't show you any cookie banner.

Where it is stored

Your data is stored in MailerLite, the service we use to send litter notices, in an account in the cattery's name. A copy of your inquiry also reaches us by email. We keep your data until you ask to be removed.

How to unsubscribe

  • From any notice

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, one click away.

  • By writing to us

Write to hello@luciernagasmainecoons.com to ask to see what data of yours we hold, correct it or delete it. It is your right under Law 18.331 on Personal Data Protection.
